Growing demand for new buildings – Considering the last four years the most apartments were built in 2016
In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the highest number of apartments was built in 2016 considering the last four years, the demand for new housing construction has increased, and prices have continued to fall, reports Indikator.ba.
According to the BIH Agency for Statistics in 2016 were built 2,543 apartments, as compared to 2015 is an increase of 35.8%.
The average surface area per built flat in the last year was 55.5 m2.
Number of built apartments in 2016 is the highest since the record year 2012, when it was built 2,976 apartments.
The average price of sold new apartments decreased by 5.1% compared to 2015.
There is an increased demand for new housing, so the number of sold of newly built apartments in the fourth quarter of 2016 compared to the fourth quarter of 2015 increased by 30.5%, and compared to the average number of new apartments sold in 2015 was higher by 120.2%.
At the end of the fourth quarter of 2016, there were 2,747 of uncompleted apartments, which presents an increase of 7.1% compared to the same period in 2015.
