Remote work is a form of employment that has been legally regulated for quite some time but was mostly applied in specific sectors such as the IT industry, architecture, and engineering. However, it experienced its true expansion during the COVID-19 pandemic when workers worldwide, often without prior consideration of this work model, were forced to switch to working from home. In the midst of a global crisis, remote work became practically the only viable way to continue business operations.
For many employers and employees, remote work was a novelty that initially caused feelings of uncertainty, loneliness, and isolation. However, over time, many were surprised at how quickly they managed to adapt, establishing new forms of connection with colleagues and business partners.
