In the Official Gazette of the Republic of Srpska number 4/19 dated January 22, 2019, were published programs for training cocktail makers and pizza chefs, and the same entered into force on January 31, 2019.
The goals of the program are to develop an interest among the participants to work in the catering industry, to be acquainted with various types of ingredients, food, recipes, to manage differentiation of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, proper serving, decoration, i.e. the acquisition of skills and necessary knowledge for successful work in a Pizzeria or a Cocktail Bar.
These programs stipulate the number of theoretical and practical classes as well as a manner of passing the final exam. The primary requirements for enrolment in one of the programs are that the trainee has completed elementary school and has a medical certificate on health and psychophysical abilities. Another goal of these programs is to improve the catering offer in the Republic of Srpska as well
as consumer’s protection, which in this way can be sure the professionals take care of the
preparation of food and drinks, which they consume.
